About the GED
Nearly all U.S. colleges and universities accept the GED credential. Universities in many other countries like Thailand, Bangladesh, Nepal, UAE, South Africa, New Zealand, and more also recognize it for admission. A GED credential is proof that you have U.S. high school-level academic and English skills. Please check with your prospective university on their admissions policy to find out whether they accept the GED credential.
The GED® test costs changes from US$75 to US$80 per subject (effective October 1, 2021). There are four subjects on the GED® test, so the total for all subjects is $320 USD.
No, for exam security and to prevent cheating the exam cannot be taken online. You must appear in person at an official GED exam center to take the GED exam. Find a test center in your area.
