Maryland Subsidy Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Maryland Promotion.

The State of Maryland provides a partial subsidy to eligible Maryland’s GED® test-takers (“Maryland Promotion”). To support the Maryland Promotion, GED Testing Service LLC (“GEDTS”) will provide eligible test-takers who are Maryland residents, a registration code to receive a twenty-one dollar and seventy-five cent ($21.75) discount for their first attempt on each content area test (“$21.75 Discount Code”). Test-takers may only use the $21.75 Discount Code the first time they schedule each of the four (4) GED® content area tests (“Maryland Promotion Code”). A “no-show” counts as a content area test attempt and the test-taker has used one of the test-taker’s four (4) subsidized content area tests. The Maryland Promotion Code does not apply for retakes and the test-taker is responsible for the cost of retakes.

Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for the Maryland Promotion, the test-taker must be a Maryland resident. The Maryland Promotion Code is valid for Department of Corrections testing.

GEDTS retains the right to request additional information when processing or validating the use of the Maryland Promotion Code and is not responsible for late code entries. Test seating and the Maryland Promotion Code funding is limited and GEDTS is not responsible if there are no seats available or the funds run out prior to the end of the Promotion Period. If a test-taker fails to meet any of the requirements of these Terms and Conditions, they will not be allowed to use the Maryland Promotion Code. Use of the Maryland Promotion Code is limited to testing centers located in Maryland.

The Maryland Promotion Code is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to any other purpose or purchase or combined with any other discount.

These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time without notice. Additional terms and conditions may apply. GEDTS reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Maryland Promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of this promotion. GEDTS reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the GED® test scheduling system, or otherwise acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions. Void outside the United States and where prohibited by law.
