Illinois Promotion Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Illinois Promotion.

While funds last, the Illinois Community College Board (“IL Community College Board”) is providing a subsidy to offset part of the cost of taking the GED® test for eligible Illinois test-takers. To support the Illinois Promotion, GED Testing Service LLC (“GEDTS”) will provide eligible Illinois test-takers with a registration code to receive a discount of twenty-six dollars ($26) per subject area test for the GED Test.  (“Illinois Promotion Code”).  This Illinois subsidy also includes a $10 per subject area test subsidy for one discounted retake per full price GED® test.  GEDTS will provide eligible Illinois test-takers with a registration code to receive a discount of $10 per subject area retake. (“Illinois Promotion Retake Code”).  The Illinois Promotion Code and Illinois Promotion Retake Code are available to eligible Illinois test-takers until the IL Community College Board’s funding runs out (“Promotion Period”). The Illinois Promotion Code and Illinois Promotion Retake Code expire when the funds run out.  After a test-taker has used the discounted retake subsidy, they may use the Illinois Promotion Code and if they do not pass they may use the Illinois Promotion Retake Code again. Test-takers must comply with all other GEDTS and Illinois retesting requirements, including the required waiting periods before retesting.

Eligibility Requirements:  To be eligible for the Illinois Promotion, the test-taker must be an Illinois resident and meet all other State of Illinois eligibility requirements.

The Illinois Promotion is not applicable to testing conducted by the Department of Corrections.

GEDTS retains the right to request additional information when processing or validating the use of the Illinois Promotion Code and is not responsible for late code entries.  Test seating and the Illinois Promotion Code funding is limited and GEDTS is not responsible if there are no seats available or the funds run out prior any individual test-taker’s attempt to schedule a time to take a GED test using the Illinois Promotion Code.  If a test-taker fails to meet any of the requirements of these Terms and Conditions, they will not be allowed to use the Illinois Promotion Code. Use of the Illinois Promotion Code is limited to testing centers located in Illinois, unless a test center outside of the State has been specifically approved by the State.

The Illinois Promotion is valid for a limited time while funds last and only in connection with GED® tests that are administered via computer.  The Illinois Promotion Code is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to any other purpose or purchase or combined with any other discount.

These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time without notice.  Additional terms and conditions may apply. GEDTS reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Illinois Promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of this promotion.  GEDTS reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the GED® test scheduling system, or otherwise acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions.  Void outside the United States and where prohibited by law.
