Important Announcement for All Canadian GED Test Takers:
The Canadian GED Exam Series is ending on May 3, 2024. Canadian provinces/territories are launching a new Canadian made assessment in the spring of 2024 to replace the General Education Development (GED) high school equivalency program. Canadians will have access to the GED until May 3,2024, while the new Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) is being developed. Passing GED scores will count towards the new CAEC for 3 years (until May 2027). There is no effect on the validity of GED credentials that have been completed. The value of your completed GED will not change. GED testing candidates in the process of writing GED tests, are encouraged to complete their GED testing prior to May 3, 2024 to avoid any delays in earning their credentials while the CAEC is being completed.
